Onshore Drill Pipe Handling System is supplied for efficient and safe transport, handling and feeding of drill pipes on land rigs, as a module in Hytech’s drilling equipment range.
Stabbing and unstabbing unit for RCD
The stabbing and unstabbing unit for RCD unit is used to stab and unstabber specified sealing tools on drill pipes.
General description
The “Stabbing and unstabbing” unit has a carriage with clamp to stab or unstabber the sealing tool over the drill pipe, which is held by simple V-clamps – either in coils awaiting stabbing or unstabbing. All clamps are manual and close and open.
The unit is built in a modified offshore transport basket according to DNVGL-ST-E271:2017. The basket has a custom length and a low shoulder V-entry at one end with lifting pad eyes at the top corners and a lifting loop. The V-entry allows tools to be attached or detached from longer lengths of drill pipe by extending one end.
